Biography

A full member of the Mexican Mafia who federal prosecutors said controlled and extorted Latino street gangs in the Pomona area and directed a criminal enterprise from prison. A jury convicted Lerma of racketeering conspiracy, VICAR murder and first-degree murder in the 2020 MDC Los Angeles killing. He was sentenced in March 2026 to life in federal prison.
