Matsuba-kai developed from an older Tokyo underworld lineage associated with Sekine-gumi. It became a formally designated boryokudan and remained part of the metropolitan organized-crime landscape despite being much smaller than Yamaguchi-gumi, Inagawa-kai or Sumiyoshi-kai. Its page gives the graph a useful mid-sized Tokyo organization outside the big three.
